It's Touch Time! Glenholme versus Lynmore Chiefs
Last night at 5.30pm, Jaedyn, Connor, Kaleo, Taylor and I (all from A2) went to Neil Hunt Park to play the Lynmore Chiefs in a game of touch. We won 13 points to 3. Jaedyn scored two tries, Connor scored one Kaleo scored two, Taylor scored two and I scored three tries. Tyla from A1 scored three like me.
I received player of the day, because I was making big yards, which means I was running through the gaps and getting past all the Lynmore players. I also set up tries for Connor, Tyla and Jaedyn.
Our coach is Murray and our manager is Susan. They are Jaedyn's parents. Murray is a really good coach. He gives us a lot of advice about the rules of the game and is also teaching us fairplay like making sure we pass to the girls. Susan is a great organiser and decides who gets subbed on and off.
I enjoy playing touch because it keeps me fit and I'm learning lots of skills that are making me a better player.

Valen's marae experience.
About a week ago we went on a marae trip to Waiariki and stayed overnight. On the day it was pouring with rain and I didn't really want to go, but I'm glad I did because it was really interesting and fun.
We made poi, learnt how to draw flax patterns, learnt about the marae and its carvings. Tiana's dad taught us strikes with the taiaha. We got to go to the art department and we had a beautiful dinner of steamed hangi.
I really enjoyed my marae experience. It was great.

My Best Marae Experience EVER - Rawiri
My favourite part of the marae stay was the taiaha training. Some of the boys were pulling funny faces. This is called the pukana. Tiana's dad taught us skills using the taiaha and we performed them in front of the girls. We looked fantastic when we performed our skills all at the same time.
